Most of the pollution issues created in power systemsare due to the non-linear characteristics and fast switching ofpower electronic equipment. Power quality issues are becomingstronger because sensitive equipment will be more sensitive formarket competition reasons, equipment will continue pollutingthe system more and more due to cost increase caused by thebuilt-in compensation and sometimes for the lack of enforcedregulations. Efficiency and cost are considered today almost atthe same level. Active power filters have been developed overthe years to solve these problems to improve power quality. InThis Paper It has been designed a hysteresis band PWM(HBPWM) current controller for a three level voltage sourceinverter (VSI) .The HBPWM approach has been selected forthe research, since it has the potential to provide an improvedmethod of deriving non-linear models which is complementaryto conventional techniques. The simulation model of HBPWMcurrent controller is developed in SIMULINK/MATLABenvironment.
