IJAERD welcomes applications from researchers who would like to serve as peer reviewers. The journal's reviewer pool is the foundation of its peer-review process. A broad, internationally diverse pool with deep expertise across engineering and technology is essential to maintaining editorial quality and ensuring rapid, rigorous review.
1. Who We Are Looking For
The journal seeks reviewers who possess all or most of the following qualifications:

Doctoral Qualification
A doctoral degree, or equivalent research and professional experience, in a field relevant to IJAERD's engineering and technology scope.

Active Publication Record
An active record of peer-reviewed publication or substantive practitioner contribution in their field.

Subject Expertise
Demonstrable expertise in one or more of IJAERD's engineering sub-disciplines (Computer Science, Electronics, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, IT, AI, IoT, and allied fields).

Review Commitment
The ability to provide timely, constructive, and rigorous reviews — typically within 2–3 working days of accepting an invitation.

ORCID Identifier
An ORCID identifier is required. If you do not have one, register free of charge at orcid.org.
2. How to Apply
Applications are made through the journal's reviewer-panel application form. The form takes approximately 5–7 minutes to complete and asks for:
➤Full name and institutional affiliation
➤Highest qualification and research experience
➤ORCID identifier (required)
➤Primary and secondary subject areas
➤Specific reviewing-interest keywords
➤Methodological areas of expertise
ℹ Applications are reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief. The editorial team does not respond individually to each application. Where an applicant's expertise matches a manuscript under consideration, the applicant will be added to the pool and sent a review invitation directly. Applicants who do not hear from the journal should assume their application has been received.
3. Alternative Route — Direct Registration
You may also register directly on the IJAERD website as a reviewer. Registered reviewers are added to the journal's reviewer database. When registering directly, please:
- Complete your reviewing interests in your profile so handling editors can match you to suitable submissions
- Add a brief biographical note noting your key expertise areas
- Include your ORCID identifier
⚠ Note: Direct registration does not replace the application form. Applicants who register directly will still be invited to complete the application form before being added to the active reviewer pool.
4. What You Commit To
Joining the reviewer pool is not a fixed or ongoing commitment. The commitment is per-invitation:

- Deliver a constructive review within 2–3 working days
- Follow the journal's Reviewer Guidelines
- Maintain strict manuscript confidentiality
- Declare any conflict of interest
📅 Flexibility
- You may decline any individual invitation without penalty
- No minimum number of reviews required
- Reviewers who do not respond to multiple invitations may be retired from the active pool
5. What You Receive

Automated Acknowledgement Email
On completion of each review, the editorial system sends an automated acknowledgement email recording the manuscript identifier and date of review completion. You may use this as evidence of service for institutional or professional purposes.

Web of Science Reviewer Recognition
Reviewers who maintain a profile on Web of Science Reviewer Recognition (formerly Publons) may self-record their reviews. The journal can confirm a completed review in writing on request — contact the Editor-in-Chief with the manuscript ID and review date.

Preferred Reviewer Status
Reviewers who consistently deliver timely, high-quality reviews are flagged as preferred reviewers and are prioritised for future invitations and potential editorial team opportunities.

Annual Acknowledgement
An annual published acknowledgement of all reviewers who contributed during the year is planned in the first issue of each calendar year.
