The main purpose of this paper is todevelop a wind energy conversion system model to analyzethe behaviour of a permanent magnet synchronousgenerator (PMS G) for variable s peed application. In thiswork, the MATLAB/Simulink programming andgraphical environment has been used to develop the windenergy conversion system modelling and simulation. Thismodelling includes the wind turbine and the PMS Gmodels. Using this simulation tool, the dynamic analysisand performance evaluation has been achieved for a5.7KW PMS G. All the system components and systemresponse have been observed closely under different windspeeds.
