The matter of Image Registration has becomeone of the most important Electronic and Digitalprocessing applications in the last few decades. In imageprocessing, when combining the information content ofimage, we are interested in the relationship between two ormore images. The examination of this relationshipgenerally becomes tractable once a correspondence is setup between the images. Image Registration is themethodology of adjusting two or more image of the samescene taken from different viewpoints, at different times,from differentsensors.The result of image registration is anew registered image which is more plentiful for humanbeing and machine discernment for further imageprocessing tasks like segmentation, feature taking out andobjects recognition. In this paper we have discussed andanalysed some popular method like Log polar technique(LPT), Wavelets technique, MutualInformation (MI) andAffine transformation and also discussed ImageRegistration applications.
