Breast cancer detection is still complex andchallenging problem. Diagnosis of cancer tissues inmammograms is a time consuming task even for highlyskilled radiologists as it contains low signal to noise ratioand a complicated structured background. Therefore, indigital mammogram there is still a need to enhanceimaging, where enhancement in medical imaging is the useof computers to make image clearer. Studies show thatrelying on pure naked-eye observation of experts to detectsuch diseases can be prohibitively slow and inaccurate insome cases. Providing automatic, fast, and accurate imageprocessing-and artificial Intelligence-based solutions forthat task can be of great realistic significance. This paperdiscusses about different techniques used to scans thewhole mammogram and performs filtering, segmentation, features extraction.
