In this paper, Embedded Real-time videomonitoring system based on ARM is designed, in which theembedded chip and the programming techniques are used. The central monitor which adopts Raspberry pi is the core ofthe whole system. Real time video transmission is widelyused in surveillance, conferencing, media broadcasting andapplications that include remote assistance. First, USBcamera video data are collected by the embedded Linuxsystem. All data are processed, compressed and transferredby the processing chip. Then, video data are sent to themonitor client by wireless network. This embeddedmonitoring system to overcome the week points of thetraditional video surveillance systems, such as complexstructure, poor stability, and expensive cost. It can beenwidely used in many fields, and also used for long distancetransmission.
