The present experiment is aimed for removal of malachite green using Antigonon leptopus leaves powderfrom synthetic waste water. Water pollution is a major threat to humans and living organisms causing imbalance to theecosystem. Several methods have been developed earlier but proven expensive. Here, Adsorption is a promisingtechnology for removal of dyes using freely available materials at a low cost. The variables studied in the present studyare agitation time, pH, adsorbent size, initial concentration, dosage of adsorbent and temperature. The study alsoincorporated isotherms like Langmuir, Freundlich and Temkin, Kinetics like first order and second order. This studyrevealed that the optimum concentration was 20 mg/L and temperature at 303 K .This study also stated that the optimumadsorbent size was 53m. The adsorbent is analyzed using RSM and ANOVA analysis.
