Abstract

As information has been increasing rapidly, it is very difficult to get information as per the user satisfaction.A focused crawler is a web crawler which gives relevant pages according to users query.Genetic Algorithms (GA) areoptimization algorithms inspired by the Darwin's theory of natural evolution and survival of fittest. GA are robust,efficient and optimized methods that are used in getting solutions to number of search and optimization problems. In thispaper, we use a genetic algorithm with focused crawling for improving the accuracy of similarity measure.
