Abstract
The soft set theory was initiated by Molodtsov and has been successful used as an effective mathematical tool for dealingwith vagueness and uncertainties. In this paper, we first introduce the concept of generalised vague soft set. Then we propose asimilarity measure between two generalised vague soft sets and study its basic properties. Finally, an application of generalised vaguesoft sets in medical diagnosis is given to demonstrate the feasibility and validity of the proposed similarity measure.
