Abstract
Set Theory is an important language and tool in digital image processing. It has fundamental ideas incomputer science from theory to practice. Many ideas and methodologies in computer science are inspired by set theory.One among those ideas, morphological image processing is the application of set theory. Basic morphologicalalgorithms and application in finger print identification has been discussed in this chapter
