Abstract

Distributed generation (DG)is the best alternative for conventional generation system. The optimal locationand proper sizing of DGs effects the system losses.This paper proposes genetic algorithm for optimal location and sizingof DGs. The proposed method is implemented in MATLAB. The proposed method is tested on IEEE 33 bus system andresults compared LRIC method. The results demonstrated that the proposed method is better than LRIC method
