Structure design and analysis is necessary to produce the capability of resisting all the applied load withoutfailure its intended life. The design of high rise buildings is governed by lateral loads mainly due to earthquake. Thepresent study describes the analysis and design of G+20(story)high rise building with Steel Plate ShearWall(SPSW).Steel Plate Shear Wall have been used as lateral-load resisting system with formation of tension fieldaction. The design and analysis of R. C. building with Steel Plate Shear Wall is carried out using software ETABS. Theproperties of Steel Plate Shear Wall system include the stiffness for control of structural displacement, story shear andoverturning moment.
