In this paper comparison of Discrete Cosine Transform-Walsh, Discrete Sine Transform-Walsh, HaarWalsh, Hartley-Walsh, Slant-Wash, and Kekre-Walsh Hybrid Walsh Transforms using Normalization for ‘Color to Grayand Back’. Using hybrid wavlet transform and normalization color information of the image is embedded into a grayscale image. The aim of this paper is to provide better bandwidth or storage utilization instead of original color image,gray image can be used. Among the proposed techniques, technique 2 for Discrete Cosine Transform – Walsh HybridWavlet Transform gives the better performance in comparison to other Hybrid Wavlet Transform. The purpose is toachieve compression of 66.66% and to store and transmit gray image instead of color image and will be able toregenerate the color information afterwards from it.
