transient stability is one important parameter in case of inter connected power system. With theinvolvement doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) based wind generator (WG) system, transient oscillations inthe system increases. To reduce these oscillations or to improve the transient stability of the system, this paperproposes resistive type solid state fault current limiter (R-type SSFCL) with simple controller. The proposedmethod applied on test system and compared with series dynamic breaking resistor (SDBR) and LR type solidstate fault current limiter (SSFCL-LR) methods. The proposed method compared with these methods underdifferent fault conditions, the results demonstrated that the proposed method effectively improves the transientstability.
