This paper proposes modified solar power generation system using fuzzy logic control with seven levelinverter. Which is composed of a dc-dc power converter and a seven-level inverter which is controlled by a fuzzycontroller. The proposed inverter reduced the switching losses, complexity, size and cost. The dc/dc power converterintegrates a dcādc boost converter and a transformer to convert the output voltage of the solar cell array into twoindependent voltage sources with the multiple relationships. This construction of seven level inverter is configured usinga capacitor selection circuit and a full-bridge power converter, connected in cascade. The capacitor selection circuitconverts the two output voltage sources of dcādc power converter into a three-level dc voltage, and the full-bridge powerconverter further converts this three-level dc voltage into a seven-level ac voltage. The salient features of the proposedseven-level inverter are that only six power electronic switches are used, and only one power electronic switch isswitched at high frequency at any time. A prototype is developed and tested to verify the performance of this proposedsolar power generation system.
