Abrasive Flow Machining (AFM) uses elasto-plastic polymer as a fluid that carries the fine abrasiveparticles which together make a flexible tool. This tool can be used for fine finishing of difficult to reach areas like profiledholes, passages, complex hollow sections, etc. economically which is otherwise not possible using other micro finishingprocesses. Components produced using AFM have a consistently excellent uniformity and repeatability. The processparameters of AFM which have impact on the product quality are flow rate, flow volume, extrusion pressure, etc. Thisresearch paper is intended to study the effect of the process parameters of Abrasive Flow Machining on the intendedoutcomes as reported by various researchers.
