As we know; now a day’s oil spill becomes biggest issue in marine environment which misbalanced marine lifecycle. Day by day oil spill problem arrives. In this research, comparing of algorithms take place which results in less timeconsuming, oil spill tracking, oil spill area, patches and spill patterns. This work helps in regular monitoring of oil spills. This approach find out which algorithm is best suited for detection and tracking of oil spill in ocean with low timecomplexity. In this work input image taken from ASAR RADAR SAT-2 from Gulf of Mexico region. Here morphologicalclosing techniques can be used as a good tool for monitoring and identifying the occurrence of oil spill and Syntheticaperture radar image serves as a good sensor for surveying of oil spill. In conclusion, after comparing algorithms, morphological technique serves as excellent method for detection of oil spill with low time complexity.
