This proposed paper discusses various techniques and transformations proposed earlier in literature forextracting feature from an ECG signal. In addition this paper also provides a comparative study of various methodsproposed by researchers in extracting the feature from ECG signal. We also propose an improved algorithm forfeature extraction through wavelet transform. Eighty four original input features were extracted from pre-processedsignals by wavelet transform per 12 lead ECG signal.
