Wimax and Wifi are the wireless telecommunications techniques. A number of transmission methodsare used in Wimax and WiFi, such as portable or fully mobile internet access via point to multipoint links. As thesize of a Wireless Network is very massive because of this the complete network is divided in group of clusters. Eachcluster having a cluster head or the base station the controls all nodes of the network. These network can have anode with the mobility. The problem starts when a node moves from the cluster and when outside the range of basestation . In such case the control of that node shifted to other base station . This process is called head offmechanism. The proposed scheme is selection of the best base station for the node respective to the reliability andefficiency. The proposed work is the selection of the base station in case of heterogeneous networks. In thisheterogeneity is defined in terms of two different networks, WiMax and WiFi Networks. The process of handoverbetween these different networks is called vertical handover procedure. The present work is about to optimize thevertical handoff process. In this work we have done the parametric changes while performing the selection of basestation. The analysis is performed respective to the effective throughput and the delay. main objectives are: Designand implementation of WiMax and Wifi Clustered Network in Different Scenarios, Study of Parameters which affectHandover, Implementation of Proposed Algorithm for effective Hand off between heterogeneous networks. In this paper, vertical handoff algorithm is proposed by combining 3 parameters while performing handoff, load onbase station, distance and transmission time.
