Abstract

The Internet protocol television (IPTV) is one of the most promising application in next generation
networks.IPTV mainly offers live television , Time-shifted media , Video on demand services.It can be viewed in normal
television using Set-top box and in mobile devices by using Wi-MAX base station.The proposed method uses the Hot-view
channel and Personal favorite channel preloading to reduce the delay in channel switching.
