Abstract

The national and inter national grids in the deve loped countr ies constitute a large
system that exhibits a range of dynamic phenomena. Certain system disturbances may cause loss of
synchronism between a generator and the rest of the utility system, or between interconnected power
systems of neighboring utilities. In this paper different types of disturbances are simulated using
MATLAB software.
