Abstract

The developments in the field of construction raise the need for concrete with less weight, efficient,
durable, ecofriendly and Fire safety. All the above mention properties can be achieved by expanded vermiculite. In this
project, expanded vermiculite replaced by the fine aggregate. Furthermore, different concrete mixes design by varying
the proportion of vermiculite and fine aggregate. By varying proportion vermiculite concrete results of compressive
strength are noted at 7, 14, 28 days.
