Waste Reduction At Small Scale Plastic Industry

Abstract

The objective of this research is to improve the productivity by identifying and correcting lean waste in
production process of plastic bags. The waste were identified by using Ishikawa diagram or cause and effect diagram. By
changing the raw material blending the defects in bags were reduced. This lead to an increase in costing of raw material,
but at the same time increased the net production which lead to increase in total profit.
