Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of DME as an additive on engine performance & emission
characteristics in 4 stroke diesel engine. An investigation will occur on engine with supplying different flow rate of DME wi th
intake air & vary the injection pressure of diesel fuel injector. Due to high cetane number of DME compared with diesel will
improve ignition quality. Also DME has a superior vaporization quality than conventional diesel. So, it has an advantageous
effect on combustion & emission compare with neat diesel.
