Abstract

Aluminium metal matrix composites plays vital role at the present modern industrial sectors due to its
advantageous properties. In the present work, the effects of graphite and rice husk ash on mechanical properties of
Aluminium metal matrix composites are studied. It has been undertaken with an objective of exploring the use of rice
husk ash as a low cost option. Finely distribution of graphite and rice husk ash particles improves the hardness and
compression behaviour of the aluminium metal matrix composites through stir casting process.
